Work with results

View results

The Results web part provides a summary of the test results contained in your medical record and lab results contained in personal health records connected to your account.

About this task

The web part displays the following basic information about each test result:

Field Description
Source The source from where the results were retrieved
Test Name The name of the test
Date The date the test was performed
  Indicates the results have comments attached
Ordered By The care provider who ordered the test
Status The current state of the results (Final, Final-Corrected, etc.)

To view the most current information, click Refresh on the web part menu.

Procedure

  1. For Show Records from, select a source from which to display your results:
    • Select Sunrise to view the results stored in your patient record.
    • Select Microsoft HealthVault to view results stored in your personal health record.
  2. For From, select a start date for your date range criteria by doing one of the following:
    • Enter a date.
    • Click in the field and select a date from the calendar tool.
  3. For To, select an end date for your date range criteria by doing one of the following:
    • Enter a date.
    • Click in the field and select a date from the calendar tool.
  4. Click the test name to view the result details.

    Result Details opens.

Add results

You can use Sunrise™ Patient Portal to copy test results from your care provider's records to your personal health record. You can also use Sunrise™ Patient Portal to upload test results from your computer to your personal health record.

About this task

There are limitations on the kinds of results that you can add to your personal health record. You cannot add:

  • Numeric results that have comments appended.
  • Results that contain a combination of textual and numeric values.
  • Clustered results (for example, Microbiology results).

If you select results that fall in these categories, the Add to PHR button will be disabled.

Procedure

  1. To copy results from your medical record to your personal health record, click Copy to Microsoft HealthVault.

    The results are copied from your medical record to your personal health record.

  2. To upload test results from your computer to a personal health record, click Add to PHR.

    The Upload Result window appears.

  3. Enter the appropriate information on Upload Result.
  4. Click Save.

    Result Details closes and the results are uploaded to the personal health record.

Update Results

About this task

You can use Sunrise™ Patient Portal to update results stored in a personal health record.

Procedure

  1. Update the fields on the Result Details window.
  2. If the results include an uploaded file that you want to change:
    1. Click Change File.

      The Change File window appears.

    2. Click Browse to open the Choose File window.
    3. Use the Choose File window to navigate to the file containing the results you want to upload.
    4. Select the file and click Open.

      The file name appears in the Select Field to Upload box.

  3. Click Save to save your changes.

Delete results

About this task

You can use Sunrise™ Patient Portal to delete results stored in a personal health record.

Note: You can only delete results from a personal health record. You cannot delete results from your patient record.

Procedure

  1. Click Delete from PHR.

    A confirmation message is displayed.

  2. Click OK.

    The results are deleted from your personal health record.

Print results

When you print results, they are printed as PDF documents that you can open for viewing or save to your local computer.

About this task

Note: To print test results, you must have Adobe® Reader® installed.

Procedure

  1. Select the check box for the results.
  2. Click PDF Print Preview.

    File Download opens.

  3. Do one of the following:
    • Click Open to open the PDF version of the test results.
    • Click Save to save the PDF version of the test results to your local computer.
    • Click Cancel to cancel the printing of the test results.
