Working with result details

Result Details

Result Details displays detailed information about the record you are viewing. Information is displayed on 3 tabs: The Detail tab, the Comments tab, and the Record Info tab.

Detail Tab

The Detail tab displays a comprehensive summary of all the information contained in the record you are viewing.
Field Description
Type of Test The type of test that was performed; laboratory or radiological
Test name The name of the test
Ordered By The care provider who ordered the test
Date test performed The date the test was performed
Performed By The name of the lab or department that performed the test
File Displays your numeric and text results or a link to a file containing the results

Comments Tab

The Comments tab displays comments that have been added to your results.

To view results comments, click the Comments tab on Results Details. You can also add or delete new comments for results stored in a personal health record.

Note: You cannot add or delete comments for results stored in your medical record from your care provider.

To add comments to results, from Results Details, click Add Comment. After the Add Comment window opens, type your comments in the text box, then click Save. Your comments are added to the results.

To delete comment from results, select the check box for the comment, then click Delete Selected Comments. The selected comment is deleted from the results.

Record Info Tab

The Record Info tab displays detailed information about the record you are viewing. While the Detail tab displays a summary of all the information the record contains, the Record Info tab displays information about the record itself, including the source from where the record was retrieved and the system where the record was originally created.

Note: A record's retrieval source may differ from its original source. For instance, if your care provider receives new results for you in Sunrise Clinical Manager™ and later you use Sunrise Patient Portal™ to copy the results into your personal health record. When you view your list of results, the record is displayed as though it was retrieved from Microsoft® HealthVault™, although the record was originally created in Sunrise Clinical Manager™.

The Record Info tab also includes a table that displays a history of the record, including information about when the record was created and when it was last modified, if applicable. This information includes the application the record was created in, the user who created the record, and the date and time the creation or modification took place.

Add results

You can use Sunrise Patient Portal™ to copy test results from your care provider's records to your personal health record. You can also use Sunrise Patient Portal™ to upload test results from your computer to your personal health record.

About this task

There are limitations on the kinds of results that you can add to your personal health record. You cannot add:

  • Numeric results that have comments appended.
  • Results that contain a combination of textual and numeric values.
  • Clustered results (for example, Microbiology results).

If you select results that fall in these categories, the Add to PHR button will be disabled.

Procedure

  1. To copy results from your medical record to your personal health record, click Copy to Microsoft HealthVault.

    The results are copied from your medical record to your personal health record.

  2. To upload test results from your computer to a personal health record, click Add to PHR.

    The Upload Result window appears.

  3. Enter the appropriate information on Upload Result.
  4. Click Save.

    Result Details closes and the results are uploaded to the personal health record.

Update Results

About this task

You can use Sunrise Patient Portal™ to update results stored in a personal health record.

Procedure

  1. Update the fields on the Result Details window.
  2. If the results include an uploaded file that you want to change:
    1. Click Change File.

      The Change File window appears.

    2. Click Browse to open the Choose File window.
    3. Use the Choose File window to navigate to the file containing the results you want to upload.
    4. Select the file and click Open.

      The file name appears in the Select Field to Upload box.

  3. Click Save to save your changes.

Delete results

About this task

You can use Sunrise Patient Portal™ to delete results stored in a personal health record.

Note: You can only delete results from a personal health record. You cannot delete results from your patient record.

Procedure

  1. Click Delete from PHR.

    A confirmation message is displayed.

  2. Click OK.

    The results are deleted from your personal health record.

Print results details

About this task

When you print results, they are printed as PDF documents that you can open for viewing or save to your local computer.

Note: To print test results, you must have Adobe® Reader™ installed.
Note: If results are contained in a separate file, you must open the separate file and print it individually. Sunrise Patient Portal™ will not print the separate file.

Procedure

  1. Click PDF Print Preview.

    A File Download opens.

  2. Do one of the following:
    • Click Open to open the PDF version of the test results.
    • Click Save to save the PDF version of the test results to your local computer.
    • Click Cancel to cancel the printing of the test results.
