Request prescription renewal

Use Prescription Renewal Request to request a renewal for a prescription.

About this task

Note: If your prescription has remaining refills available, contact your pharmacy directly for a refill.

When you send a prescription renewal request, you must specify the care provider the request should be sent to, and the pharmacy where you would like your prescription to be filled.

When you send your request, a message is sent to your care provider's inbox containing your prescription information and your specified pharmacy information. Your care provider will contact you when your renewal is completed.

Procedure

  1. Select the medication that you want to renew.
  2. Click Next.
  3. For To:, select the care provider the request should be sent to and click Next.
  4. Enter the contact information for the pharmacy where you would like the prescription to be filled and click Next.
  5. Review your request and add comments if desired.
  6. Click Send Request to send the prescription renewal request to your care provider.
