View insurance

About this task

The Insurances web part displays the following basic information about each insurance policy:
Field Description
Info From The source from where the insurance information is retrieved
Carrier The company that issued the insurance policy
Plan The type of plan included in the insurance policy
Insured The name of the person covered by the insurance policy

Procedure

  1. In the Show Records from checkbox, select a source from which to display insurance information:
    • Select Sunrise to view the insurance information stored in your patient record.
    • Select Microsoft HealthVault to view the insurance information stored in the personal health record.
  2. Click the carrier name to view the details of an insurance policy.

Add Insurance

Use Insurance Details to copy an insurance policy from your patient record to your personal health record or to add a new insurance policy to a personal health record.

Procedure

  1. To copy an insurance policy from your patient record to your personal health record, click Copy to Microsoft HealthVault.

    The insurance policy is copied to your personal health record.

  2. To add a new insurance policy to a personal health record, click Add to PHR.

    Insurance Details refreshes with blank fields.

  3. Enter the applicable information on Insurance Details.
  4. Click Save.

    Insurance Details closes and the insurance policy is added to the personal health record.

Update insurance details

Use the Insurance Details to update insurance information stored in a personal health record. You can only update insurance information that is stored in a personal health record. You cannot update the insurance information that is stored in your patient record.

Procedure

  1. Update the information on Insurance Details.
  2. Click Save to save your changes.

Delete insurance

About this task

Note: You can only delete insurance from a personal health record. You cannot delete insurance information from your patient record.

Procedure

  1. Click Delete from PHR.

    A confirmation message is displayed.

  2. Click OK.

    The insurance is deleted from the personal health record.

Print insurance

Optional short description

Procedure

  1. Click PDF Print Preview.

    File Download is displayed.

  2. Click Open.

    A PDF print preview window opens, displaying the policy information.

  3. Click Print.

    Print Options opens.

  4. Select your print options and then click OK.

    The policy information is printed.

  5. Close the print preview window.
