Compose a reply message

Procedure

  1. Ensure that the proper recipient is displayed for To.
    Note: If a provider's name is displayed in strike through text it means the provider has chosen not to accept messages.
  2. Optional: Modify the subject of the message.
  3. In the message body, enter your reply message.
  4. When you are finished, click Send.

    Your reply message is sent and your are returned to the Message Center.

Connect to your Personal health record

When you attempt to connect your account to your personal health record, you are automatically redirected to the website that hosts your personal health record. Follow the instructions they provide to connect to your personal health record.

About this task

After your Sunrise Patient Portal™ account is connected to your personal health record, you will be able to view, add, update, and delete information stored in it. You can also copy information stored in your patient record with your care provider to your personal health record. To do this, your Sunrise Patient Portal™ account must be connected to both your patient record and your personal health record.

Procedure

  1. To connect to your personal health record click the Connect link.

    A consent agreement window is displayed.

  2. Read the Terms of Use and select the check box to accept them.
  3. Select the check box to consent to allow Sunrise Patient Portal™ to retrieve your personal and medical information from your personal health record.
  4. Click Accept. You are redirected to the Microsoft HealthVault website.
  5. Follow the instructions for connecting to you personal health record.

Results

You are connected to your personal health record.

Connect to multiple personal health records

If another person has shared their personal health record with you, you can connect their health record to your Sunrise Patient Portal™ account to manage the information they have stored in it.

Procedure

  1. To connect your account to a shared personal health record click the Add New Record link.

    A confirmation message appears.

  2. Click Connect Records. You are redirected to the Microsoft HealthVault website.
  3. Log in and follow the instructions for connecting to the personal health record.

Results

Note: When you have multiple personal health records connected to your account, the Patient Header contains a drop-down selection box containing health records you want to work with. After you select a personal health record, the owner's personal information appears in the Patient Header and you can work with their health information.

Disconnect from a personal health record

Procedure

  1. To disconnect from a personal health record click the Disconnect link.

    A confirmation window is displayed.

  2. Click OK. Your account is disconnected from the personal health record.

What to do next

To complete the disconnection process, you must log on Microsoft HealthVault and remove Sunrise Patient Portal from the list of applications authorized to access your personal health record. If your account was connected to multiple personal health records, you must repeat this process for each one.
